This apartment is ideally within walking distance of the wonders of Saint Peter’s Basilica, and around 600 meters walk from the magnificent Villa Pamphili. With this apartment you could not have chosen a better location, you will have a different point of view of Rome.
From this apartment, you can enjoy a walk up Gianicolo hill, where you’ll find a fantastic Bistrot, “Vivi Bistrot”, to relax in front of a drink and a snack. This hill lies just behind the Trastevere area, which also offers many more restaurants, bars, and shops. This is also a very atmospheric and friendly place to be come evening, when crowds gather in the piazzas to catch up with friends.
This apartment lies in an area that is moreover very well connected with the Saint Peter railway station and several bus lines. This means you won’t have any problem reaching any part of the city.
The best way to see Rome, however, is on foot. You might work 15 minutes longer to some attractions than if you were staying in the center. However, the walks are almost as beautiful as the monuments themselves, given Rome’s picturesque and characteristic buildings.
Within half an hour you can arrive at the Vatican, Piazza Navona, and Castel Sant’Angelo. A little longer of a walk will bring you to the Campo de’ Fiori, Pantheon, and Spanish Steps area. From the Vatican you can also take the Metro into the center of town, or even all the way to the central station, Termini.
