The Location

This apartment is just a short walk of a lively Trastevere district. It is also a few steps from the ancient Pyramid of Cestius and orange gardens of Aventino Hill. 

At the latter, you can also peer through the famous keyhole of the neighboring villa. This keyhole frames the cupola of St Peter’s Basilica perfectly. In hill’s gardens, you can relax under the shade of the orange trees, as well as profit from the sweeping view it offers over the historical center.

Walking down the other side of this hill, you will moreover find yourself very close to the Colosseum, Circo massimo and the Palatine Hill. A quick metro ride from here will moreover take you through the delightful Monti and through to Termini.

Testaccio is very well connected by public transport, especially buses which run up and down both sides of the Tiber. What is more, Testaccio is home to some of Rome’s liveliest nightlife, with several clubs and bars in the area.

It is a very trendy area, and you will find many cafés and restaurants here. In fact, it is a great alternative for people who wish to be near such facilities whilst avoiding the business of the historical center!
