Pasta e Vino Come Na’ Vorta
If you’re wandering the streets of Trastevere, and want to make a quick lunch stop without compromising on quality, this is the perfect place for you! A plate of delicious fresh pasta and a glass of wine will soon have you on your feet once more, ready to keep exploring. Pasta e Vino specialises in just that: fresh pasta handmade on the premises by local chefs, served with a choice of traditional sauces.
First, you choose your pasta: tightly curled strozzapreti, slender tagliolini or filled ravioli, before pairing it with one of the sauces from the menu above. We recommend the traditional Roman favourite, cacio e pepe, a cheese sauce flavoured with pecorino and black pepper, or the hearty, flavoursome meat ragù. Both dishes are simple, yet mouthwatering.
Alternatively there are a variety of meat dishes and vegetable sides (or contorni) available, of which we recommend the slow cooked pork. While you wait you’ll be treated to a snack of bread still warm from the oven, accompanied by a tomato and salsiccia sauce that is utterly moreish!
