Pizzeria Emma
For a gourmet pizza that’s a cut above the rest, make a reservation (recommended) at Pizzeria Emma in the Campo de Fiori area, and you won’t be disappointed. The menu at Emma is based on several simple favourites such as margherita, quattro stagioni or pizza bianca, but re-imagined with a focus on the quality and provenance of the ingredients used. This means that you can choose between many different types of mozzarella and burrata to form the basis of your pizza, before selecting from high-quality fresh produce to personalise toppings. We love the pizza bianca margherita with tiny datterini tomatoes.
Emma’s signature pizza base recipe was developed in collaboration with Pierluigi Roscioli of the eponymous Roman bakery, and it shows. Crisp, thin pizza base is not traditionally Roman but it is completely delicious, and the perfect vessel to avoid detracting from the fresh and delicate toppings used here.
The restaurant also has an impressive selection of artisanal wheat beers, the perfect accompaniment to your meal.
